We are an Italian-Polish family. We have two daughters - 8 and 11 and they are both fluent in English thanks to the aupairs we’ve hosted so far😉. We live in a very small town surrounded by the valleys and mountains, just a stone's throw from the Swiss border. We live in a house with a huge garden with our German shepherd, so if you're a nature lover the place will fit you perfectly. We would be happy to find a native English speaker or somebody with a very good knowledge of English since our main reason to host au pairs is to help our girls to learn English and speak it as much as possible in their everyday lives and further develop their language skills. We're searching for a family oriented person who our girls could consider as an older sister, somebody who is outgoing and likes to connect with others. The girls have pretty many afternoon activities- they train in a swimming team 3 times a week and they play instruments, so we keep them pretty busy during the week. The aupair tasks would be then supervising them while they are at home and after they are done with all their homework, spending nice time with them. As for the place we live in- Milan is 1,5 hours drive from home, so you could easily visit it during the weekends, and from there you can explore different northern Italian cities. In our free time we organise some hiking excursions, go swimming in the lake, prepare barbecue or pizza in our garden, read books and have fun together. In winter during the weekends we often go skiing. The au pair tasks would be taking care of the girls when we're at work ( my husband works full time, but I only work part time), some cooking and helping with the house chores. That would be not more than 20 hours a week ( usually from 2-6 pm ). The au pair would have the weekends off. The pocket money we offer is 250/300 euros / month. We absolutely don’t accept smokers or people who like to party too much. Willing to share our previous aupairs’ contacts so that you can talk directly to them about their experience with our family.
