Bio

Hi! My name is Jean-Luc, and I’m from Cape Town, South Africa. I’m a friendly, outgoing and adventurous person who loves meeting new people, discovering different cultures and learning new languages. I have completed my GED, equivalent to a high school matric qualification in South Africa, as well as my Level 5 TEFL qualification in English teaching. I speak English and Afrikaans and would love to improve my language skills while experiencing life in another country. In my free time, I enjoy surfing, spending time outdoors, listening to music, DJing, cooking and being with family and friends. I come from a big, close-knit family with sisters and lots of cousins, so I’m used to having people around and enjoy building strong relationships. I would love to become an au pair because I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, sharing my own South African culture and becoming part of a family abroad. I’m happy to help with children's daily routines, creative activities, cooking and household tasks. I’m responsible, open-minded, willing to learn and always happy to lend a helping hand. I hope to find a welcoming host family where we can learn from each other, share new experiences and create wonderful memories together. I would love to become a positive and caring part of your family's everyday life!
Childcare experience

I enjoy spending time with children and helping them learn, play and discover new things. I am a patient, caring and responsible person who understands the importance of making children feel safe, happy and supported. I would enjoy helping with daily routines, preparing meals, playing games, doing creative activities and spending time outdoors. My Level 5 TEFL qualification has also helped prepare me to support children's English learning. I am eager to learn each family's routines and parenting preferences and to become a reliable, positive presence in the children's lives.
