Bio

My name is Marta; I am 21 years old and Italian. I am a curious, ambitious, and independent young woman with a strong desire to discover the world and pursue experiences that allow me to grow, learn about new cultures, and challenge myself. I spent nearly two years in the United States as an au pair an experience that changed me profoundly. I had the chance to meet extraordinary people, form meaningful bonds, and feel at home even on the other side of the globe. I love traveling, speaking foreign languages, and stepping outside my comfort zone. I am a determined person with many dreams and goals, but above all, I have a desire to build a life that truly reflects who I am, without feeling constrained by the expectations of others. I love to read; I am fascinated by stories and creativity, and I believe that every experience even the most unexpected one can teach me something significant. I don’t have all the answers about my future yet, but I know that I want to keep exploring, growing, and seizing the opportunities that make me feel truly alive.
Childcare experience

I have gained nearly two years of experience in the United States as an au pair. During the first year, I lived in Orange County, California, where I cared for two children an infant and a five-year-old. The following year, I lived in New York City, where I looked after two girls, aged two and eight. These experiences have helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and adaptability, as I learned to manage the needs of children at different stages of their development. To me, caring for children goes beyond attending to their daily requirements; it involves building a bond based on trust and affection, and supporting their growth through play and everyday activities. My host families played a vital role in my journey especially the family in California, whom I still consider a second family today. Living in the United States was a deeply enriching experience, both personally and culturally, and it made me realize just how much I love working with children and engaging in international experiences.
