Bio
Hola! I'm Lucía from Spain, an energetic and creative person who believes that play is the best way for children to learn. I love storytelling: inventing characters, adding voices and letting kids decide how the story ends.
I enjoy outdoor games, from hide-and-seek to treasure hunts in the garden, and I'm just as happy on a rainy afternoon with paper, scissors and glue. I'm tidy and practical, and I don't mind helping with light housework as part of a family's routine.
I'd like to live abroad for a year or more, learn another language properly and be part of a family's everyday life. I'm looking for a place where I can be trusted, treated as part of the household and have time to explore the area on weekends.
Childcare experience
I worked for a full year as a nanny for a family with twins, from the age of two to three. I was responsible for meals, naps, playground afternoons and nursery pick-ups, and I learned how to handle two strong personalities at once and keep both of them happy.
Before that I helped with a children's reading group at my local library. I'm comfortable with toddlers and preschoolers and enjoy this stage, when children are discovering language and the world.
Health, allergies, special diets or other information
I'm in good health, a non-smoker, and I have no allergies. I don't have a driving licence yet, but I'm used to getting around on foot and by public transport.
