Bio
Hello dear Host Family!
My name is Abigail, and I am from Kenya. I am a caring, patient, responsible, and cheerful young woman who enjoys spending time with children and helping them grow in a safe, loving, and supportive environment.
I have experience caring for children, including my three-year-old autistic niece. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, kindness, and adapting to each child's individual needs. I enjoy engaging children in fun and educational activities, helping with their daily routines, preparing simple meals, and ensuring they feel loved and comfortable.
I am excited about becoming an au pair because I would love to experience a new culture, learn new things, improve my language skills, and become part of a welcoming host family. I believe cultural exchange is a wonderful opportunity to share my Kenyan culture while learning about my host family's traditions and lifestyle.
I consider myself hardworking, open-minded, trustworthy, and willing to learn. I would love to build a genuine relationship with my host family and become someone they can rely on and their children can feel comfortable around.
I look forward to meeting a lovely host family with whom I can share meaningful experiences, create beautiful memories, and make a positive difference in their children's lives.
Childcare experience
I have gained valuable childcare experience through volunteering at an orphanage, where I had the opportunity to spend time with children, interact with them, and contribute to their well-being. This experience helped me understand the importance of showing children love, kindness, patience, and attention, regardless of their background. I enjoyed engaging with the children, playing with them, encouraging them, and helping create a warm and welcoming environment where they could feel valued and cared for.
I have also gained experience caring for children in my neighbourhood, which has helped me develop my confidence and responsibility when looking after young children. I enjoy keeping children engaged through play, helping them with their daily routines, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. In addition, caring for my three-year-old autistic niece has taught me to be patient, understanding, and attentive to individual needs. I have learned that every child is unique and deserves care, respect, and understanding.
These experiences have strengthened my passion for childcare and taught me the importance of being dependable, gentle, and supportive. I look forward to building on these experiences as an au pair, learning from my host family, and contributing positively to their children's growth, happiness, and development.
