Namaste! I'm Priya from India. I'm responsible and curious, and I enjoy simple science experiments with children: growing seeds, mixing colours, making volcanoes out of baking soda. I like to ask questions with them rather than simply give answers.
I'm also a reliable and organised person, used to balancing study and work. I'm happy to help with homework, cook basic meals and keep a household tidy. I enjoy reading aloud, and I can cycle, so trips to the library or the park are easy to arrange.
I'd like to spend six months to a year abroad, improve my English and learn about family life in a different country. I'm friendly, respectful of other people's beliefs and routines, and I'd be glad to share some Indian stories and recipes with the family.
Childcare experience
During university I worked as a part-time nanny for a family with two children, aged 4 and 9. I collected them from school, helped with homework and prepared dinner, and I learned how to organise the afternoon so there was time for both work and play.
I also tutored younger students in science and English for a small fee. I like explaining difficult ideas with everyday examples, and I'm patient when children need me to repeat something.
Health, allergies, special diets or other information
I'm in good health, a non-smoker, and I have no allergies. I follow no strict diet, but I'm happy to eat whatever a family prepares. I don't have a driving licence.
