Konnichiwa! I'm Yuki from Japan. I'm quiet and caring, and I enjoy crafts, especially origami, drawing and making small gifts with children. I like seeing a child's face when a flat piece of paper becomes a crane or a jumping frog.
I'm patient and attentive, and I tend to notice small things, such as a child who is tired or someone who feels left out. I'm tidy and organised, and I like keeping spaces neat. I'm still new to living abroad, but I'm eager to learn.
I'd like to spend six months to a year abroad, improve my English and learn about family life in another country. I can introduce children to Japanese words, songs and simple traditional games if the family likes the idea.
Childcare experience
I spent a year assisting at a local nursery school, helping the teachers with morning activities, lunch, naps and outdoor play. The children were between 2 and 5, and I learned a lot about gentle routines and how small children express their feelings.
I also looked after my younger cousins during school holidays. I'm happy to follow a family's methods and ask for guidance rather than assume.
Health, allergies, special diets or other information
I'm in good health and have no allergies. I smoke, but never near children or in a family's home, and I'm happy to follow house rules.
