Bio
Cześć! I'm Zofia from Poland. I'm warm, reliable and endlessly curious about languages, and I love passing that curiosity on to children. Singing a song in another language or learning to count to ten with a child is one of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon.
I like practical, hands-on activities: baking, drawing, gardening and exploring the neighbourhood. I'm happy to help with housework as part of a family's daily routine and I take responsibility seriously. I can drive and I enjoy cycling too.
I'd like to spend half a year to a year abroad, improve my English and get to know a family and their culture closely. I'm a good listener and I like to understand what parents expect, so that everyone feels comfortable from the start.
Childcare experience
For two years I volunteered at a kindergarten near my home, helping with morning activities, outdoor play and meals. I learned how to introduce new ideas to small children in a gentle way, and how to calm a child who is homesick or upset.
I've also given informal English lessons to younger cousins, using games and songs. I enjoy teaching and I'm happy to speak Polish or English with the children, depending on what the family prefers.
Health, allergies, special diets or other information
I'm in good health, a non-smoker and I have no allergies. I hold a driving licence and I'm comfortable driving in the city.
